Senator Barrett moved to amend the bill by striking out the title and substituting therefor a new title, to read as follows:
Eng. Com. Sub. for Senate Bill 578—A BILL to amend and reenact §19-14-2 and §19-14-5 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to the West Virginia Commercial Feed Law; providing that a person engaged in offering for sale, selling, exchanging, or bartering products or commodities produced exclusively on his or her own farm is not a distributor; and providing that a person engaged in offering for sale, selling, exchanging, or bartering products or commodities produced exclusively on his or her own farm is exempt from obtaining a commercial feed distributor permit; and removing the sunset provisions on requiring an additional registration fee for a permit to sell or market commercial pet food, set to expire June 1, 2027, and June 30, 2027.
